Bases are suitable for the indicated frame size and is suitable for the majority of floor-mounted, belt-connected motors. These bases are not suitable for ceiling or side-wall mounting installations. The 213-215 frame size bases are closed frame construction with two adjusting screws. The 254-364 frame size bases are open frame construction with two adjusting screws.

Includes insulation and strip heater.
No separate heater nameplate furnished. The existing motor nameplate is to be stamped with heater volts and watts.

Suitable for cast iron, aluminum or steel conduit boxes.

Thermostat leads are 29 inches long with terminals.

As standard an auxiliary tag is provided on the motor which states: "Maximum exposed internal and external surface temperatures shall not exceed 200ºC under usual service conditions (sinewave power) at 1.0 SF." If required, a UL Div 2 nameplate maybe ordered as a custom feature. The new nameplate will exclude the motor capability on a variable frequency drive unless supplied for technical review. Net price $200 per motor.

The Ground Terminal Post replaces a bolt on the drive-end endshield allowing for an external frame ground.

GE has developed and patented a thermostatically controlled space heater. These heaters operate with a maximum surface temperature of 140ºC and are provided with a hermetically sealed thermostat so they do not spark in an end of life event. In most cases when a motor is shut down, the space heaters are immediately turned on. As the motor may take many hours to cool down, the heaters being automatically turned on can result in a cumulative heat that may result in temperatures that approach the 80% Auto-Ignition Temperature (A.I.T.) limit. A thermostatically controlled heater will not allow the heater to energize until the motor has sufficiently cooled down (below 140ºC thermostat reset temperature) thereby not allowing the temperatures to exceed the stated AIT.

Designed to convert drive end ball bearing to roller bearing with the recommended ISO roller bearing. For 509-5011 GE frames (4, 6 and 8 pole only) stock motors. Roller bearing supplied. Contact factory for eligible models.
Application of this kit requires load confirmation with factory.
